Spotlight on Kangaroos: South Australian State Survey Report

A landmark independent survey by PureProfile found that the majority of South Australians do not support the commercial killing of kangaroos. Key findings of the survey report:

  • 92% say kangaroos should remain part of the Australian landscape.

  • 75% find the killing of orphaned joeys (by blunt force trauma) unacceptable.

  • 63% agree commercial killing causes unnecessary cruelty and suffering.

  • 65% oppose the absence of any point-of-kill monitoring.

  • 72.5% want eco-tourism examined as an alternative to commercial killing

SA residents demand better: end cruelty, respect sacred totems, and shift to eco-tourism. This report mandates a moratorium—our icons deserve protection!
