American attitudes towards kangaroo conservation
This document presents initial findings from a comprehensive survey of 2,105 adults in the United States conducted in 2024, examining American perspectives on kangaroos, commercial kangaroo hunting, and related policy issues. The survey reveals strong opposition to commercial kangaroo killing practices, widespread support for import restrictions and Indigenous rights, and significant concerns about animal welfare and the public health implications of the trade in kangaroo meat.
